The Minister of Finance Participate in High-Level Roundtable

His Excellency Mr Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, participated in a high-level closed session titled “Harnessing Artificial Intelligence and Enhancing National Readiness”, held on the sidelines of his attendance at the World Government Summit 2026. The session discussed the evolving use of artificial intelligence in productive sectors globally and across the Middle East and North Africa, as well as regional cooperation opportunities to maximise the benefits of these technologies. It also reviewed public policy priorities for building an effective innovation ecosystem and bridging the digital divide. Furthermore, the session addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on labour markets, emphasising the importance of supporting the workforce through education and skills development, alongside the role of fiscal policies in mitigating risks associated with AI adoption in the financial sector.
